Drop Off & Pick Up

Please find our morning drop off procedure below to keep all of our kids safe and arrive to class on-time:

• If you want to drop your student off, use the Hug & Go lane near the bike racks and benches (shown in the horizontal box).
• Students should exit vehicles on the passenger side.
• Pull all the way forward, and then exit the Hug & Go lane at the curve nearest the school (shown in arrow).
• Wait for a spot to open up so that your child does not walk between vehicles in the parking lot - it can be hard for other drivers to see students.
• If you want to wait to watch your child enter the school or need to access items from the back of your vehicle, use a parking spot or 5-minute parking area (shown in vertical box by the building).
• Breakfast is served starting at 8:10 and morning supervision on the playground begins at 8:15.
• Remember that school starts at 8:30 and students arriving at their classrooms after that time are marked tardy.

Running Late or Going To Be Absent?

Please call the school office (970) 587-6200 before 9:00 a.m. on any day your child will be absent or late and state the reason. Your call will ease our concern and eliminate the need to call you. (A secretary will call to verify the absence of any student whose parent has not already contacted the school.) Students are required by state law to attend school unless they are ill, there is a family emergency, or there has been a prearranged absence. The student should bring a note giving the reason for the child’s absence when he/she returns to school after an absence where the parent was unable to call the school.
