Drop Off & Pick Up

Morning Drop Off Procedure:

  • If you want to drop your student off, use the Hug & Go lane near the bike racks and benches (shown in the horizontal box).
  • Students should exit vehicles on the passenger side.
  • Pull all the way forward, and then exit the Hug & Go lane at the curve nearest the school (shown in arrow).
  • Wait for a spot to open up so that your child does not walk between vehicles in the parking lot - it can be hard for other drivers to see students.
  • If you want to wait to watch your child enter the school or need to access items from the back of your vehicle, use a parking spot or 5-minute parking area (shown in vertical box by the building).
  • Breakfast is served starting at 8:10 and morning supervision on the playground begins at 8:15.
  • Remember that school starts at 8:30 and students arriving at their classrooms after that time are marked tardy.
  • Please bring your ID to check your student in or out of school

Running Late or Going To Be Absent:

Please call the school office at (970) 587-6200 before 9:00am if your child will be absent or late, and give the reason. If we don’t hear from you, a secretary will call to verify the absence. State law requires students to attend school unless they are sick, there’s a family emergency, or the absence was prearranged. If you can't call, send a note with your child when they return.
